WHAT IS UNIVERSITY MODEL?
Combining school and home
At Charis Academy, we believe that parents are the most important influence in a child's life. The University-Model® is built around that belief — partnering our professional educators with parents to create a seamless learning experience across both the classroom and the home. Students attend campus two to three days per week and continue their learning in a parent-supervised "satellite classroom" at home for the remaining days, all under the guidance of their Charis teacher.
s
Campus Days
Expert bilingual teachers lead direct instruction in English and Mandarin in our classroom.
s
Home Days
Parents guide learning at home in a satellite classroom, supervised and supported by the Charis teacher.
s
Discipleship
More family time means more daily moments to invest in your child's faith, character, and purpose.
A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL AND HOME
Parents and teachers working together
The key to the University-Model®'s success is the integration of a biblically-based, parentally-guided Christian faith with a sound, teacher-directed academic environment. At Charis Academy, this partnership is already in our DNA. Our small-group learning environment and strong parent community make this model a natural fit. Parents serve as paraprofessionals on home days — providing tutoring, enrichment, and study skills support under the supervision of their child's Charis teacher.
HOW IT WORKS
The schedule grows with your child
The University-Model® gradually shifts more responsibility to students as they mature — preparing them for college long before they ever arrive on campus.
"
The ultimate goal is that of producing wholesome, competent men and women of character who make a positive difference for Christ in the next generation.
